Shake an Egg and Hop To It!

If You Have a Pink Egg
Tune: Mary Wore a Red Dress
If you have a pink egg, pink egg, pink egg
If you have a pink egg, shake it right now!
(repeat with other colors)

Can You Shake Your Egg with Me?
Tune: London Bridge
Can you shake your egg with me,
shake your egg along with me
It's as easy as can be
Now put it on your knee (head, tummy, etc.)

Easter Eggs
Tune: Jingle Bells
Easter eggs, Easter eggs,
Eggs of orange and blue,
Here are lots of colored eggs,
All for me and you,
Chocolate eggs colored brown,
Jelly beans bright green,
Aren't these the most beautiful eggs,

That you have ever seen?

Bunny Pokey

If You're Hoppy and You Know It
If you’re hoppy and you know it, hop around
If you’re hoppy and you know it, hop around
If you’re hoppy and you know it
And you really want to show it
If you’re hoppy and you know it, hop around.
....wiggle your ears
…stomp your feet

For the Birds

Early Literacy Tip: Read and Play
Having fun with your child as they hear and make animal sounds helps your child to learn. As they develop listening skills they learn more about small sounds in words which help them to sound out words later on.  You can read more about young children, sounds and literacy from the Center for Early Literacy Learning at http://www.earlyliteracylearning.org/cellpract_pract/toddler/PGPrac_T_SoundsGood_WM.pdf
